The Big Weekend is here! Of course at Masset we do two weekends in a row, Rattlesnake Hills Barrel tasting, Pre-Barrel tasting, Yakima Valley Barrel tasting- whatever you want to call it, we're here and pouring samples of great new wines and offering fabulous specials on bottles and cases. If you're looking for a snack this weekend we'll have a crisp Caeser Salad with Chicken available for you. Sit on the patio and relax a bit!
New Wine! Always a happy time around the winery when we get to finally show off what has taken years to get readied.
The latest are- A new white blend, French oak fermented and full malolactic style Viognier-Chardonnay, our new vintage of Reserve Syrah, and a new red blend for us, the Basket Press Reserve.
Looking for the shopping cart? The button is near the top of the page and is labeled "our wines"- click and you can shop online for Masset wines. Please remember- When you order wine, someone of legal age must be there to sign for it. That is why shipping to a business is prefered. Shipments that are not deliverable and are returned will be held for you to come pick up or for you to make other arrangements, they are not considered returned/refunded.
Still the best place to pick up your bag of It's All About The Pretzels ! Debbie is in the tasting room weekdays, so you can be assured Masset has the freshest pretzels around.
le Petit Rouge is back! Always a favorite, but not always available (due to it's popularity). Come to Masset Winery's tasting room and try what you've been missing.
Shipping-Yes, we do ship! Please note however that we don't ship each order daily as they come in. We generally ship on Monday, if you need your wine sent on a certain day please call us- 509-877-6675 and we will try to accommadate your request.
The original 1905 building at the Angel Farmstead in the Donald/Wapato area of the Rattlesnake Hills (where the wines are made and the owners-Greg, Michaela, Matthew, and Jaxson- live their dream) also houses the tasting room. We are open for regular tasting Thursday through Monday. Hours are 2-5 Thursday and 11-5 Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. We are sometimes in the winery on Wednesday, feel free to call 509-877-6675 to see if you should stop by outside regular hours.
Masset Winery came about as a way for Executive Chef Greg Masset and his artist wife Michaela to showcase the wonderful wines that the Yakima Valley is capable of producing. Greg makes the wines from grapes that he hand selects (from well established hillside vineyards) and Michaela is the artist of the label as well as tasting room director and head of QC. Masset Winery is truly a family effort. Besides his duties at the winery, Chef Greg is also head of the kitchen at the Yakima Country Club. You can imagine that the wines he makes are always directed towards drinking with dinner! Rich, full bodied and supple wines to complement your meal.
Surrounded by orchards on all four sides, the historic Angel Farmstead at Parker Heights is a beautiful place to enjoy a picnic, taste and purchase wines and chat with the owners of Masset Winery. You will find nectarine, pear, cherry and apple orchards a few steps from the tasting room- which is housed in the restored 1905 barn of the original farmstead. This location is also home to the (nearly) equally famous Bailey the winery Pug. Bailey has been featured in books such as Wine Dogs USA, and is also head of security at the winery.
We are highly regarded in the wine industry for producing excellent wines with exceptional aromas. Our winery is located on gentle rolling slopes and receives warm sunlight during the day making it an ideal location for producing our award-wining wines.
Masset Winery's website is for use by responsible persons of legal drinking age.
Please note that we cannot ship to all locations, Some states prohibit direct shipments of dangerous and delicious beverages and others are unreasonable in the amount of taxation and reporting (as well as permit fees). Please contact us if you are in an unreasonable state for alternative methods.
