Events           Welcome to the Masset Winery

Masset Winery is a family winery specializing in rich red wines with a special emphasis on Syrah and Petit Sirah (and sometimes blends of both!). In addition, we produce Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, blended red wines including our everyday style wine, le Petit Rouge, and Reserve style blends such as Sandra Jean and les Vignes de Marcoux Red Wine. A crisp unoaked Chardonnay and late harvest wines are made in select vintages.

Truly a taste of the Yakima Valley.

Ever watch the Rachel Ray Show??? Well we do, and Debbie's famous "it's all about the pretzels" were featured as Snack of the Week. Remember when you could only get them here as a treat, and after so many requests she went pro? Congratulations Debbie!!!

Spring Releases- April and May releases will include our (in)famous Petit Sirah 2006, 2008 Chardonnay, 2008 Rosato and a new white blend, le Petit Blanc (a fruit driven blend of Semillon/Chardonnay)
Wine Club members get first dibs (all are very limited, especially Petit Sirah which is even fewer cases this year, 100 instead of 150)

News flash- On December 17th, Masset Winery harvested Semillon Ice Wine. Continued temperatures in the single digits allowed us to bring in rock hard frozen grapes and after pressing, the juice had an average brix (percent of sugar) of 45, very sweet! This wine should be available in mid 2009.

le Petit Rouge is back! Always a favorite, but not always available (due to it's popularity). Come to Masset Winery's tasting room and try what you've been missing.

Masset Winery  has two tasting room locations. The original at the Angel Farmstead in the Donald/Wapato area of the Rattlesnake Hills (where the wines are made and the owners live their dream). 906 West Second in Spokane in conjunction with Grande Ronde and Mountain Dome Cellars.

Masset Winery came about as a way for Executive Chef Greg Masset and his artist wife Michaela to showcase the wonderful wines that the Yakima Valley is capable of producing. Greg makes the wines from grapes that he hand selects (from well established hillside vineyards) and Michaela is the artist of the label as well as tasting room director and head of QC. Masset Winery is truly a family effort. Besides his duties at the winery, Chef Greg is also head of the kitchen at the Yakima Country Club. You can imagine that the wines he makes are always directed towards drinking with dinner! Rich, full bodied and supple wines to complement your meal.

Surrounded by orchards on all four sides, the historic Angel Farmstead at Parker Heights is a beautiful place to enjoy a picnic, taste and purchase wines and chat with the owners of Masset Winery. You will find nectarine, pear, cherry and apple orchards a few steps from the tasting room- which is housed in the restored 1905 barn of the original farmstead. This location is also home to the (nearly) equally famous Bailey the winery Pug. Bailey has been featured in books such as Wine Dogs USA, and is also head of security at the winery

We are highly regarded in the wine industry for producing excellent wines with exceptional aromas.  Our winery is located on gentle rolling slopes and receives warm sunlight during the day making it an ideal location for producing our award-wining wines.

Our Vineyards

While Masset Winery doesn't own any vineyards, we like to think of the vineyards we use as ours. Each is a unique site which is carefully tended by good friends. Well established, hillside vineyards are the sites we choose to purchase our grapes from. We offer wine tastings, and offer a variety of special monthly events throughout the year.
